Born in Milan but originally from Puglia, Alessandro's passion for hair-styling goes way back to his childhood days, when he would spend long hours at the beach combing his cousins' hair. This gave young Alessandro the opportunity to start working with celebrities and talents (Lorenzo Jovanotti was actually one of his first clients back then), something which would later become a special endorsement in Alessandro's career.
He then moved on to working in top standard hair-salons in Milan, while starting to take his first steps as a freelanceer hair-stylist almost 20 years ago. Magazines, photographers and runway shows soon followed, and Alessandro started working with the best hairdressers in the world, such as Julien D'Ys, Didier Malige and more. At this time, one day during Fashion Week he was sent to replace a colleague for Mrs Anna Wintour's hair-styling…and he is been following her for any events in Milan ever since!
From that moment on and for the following 20years Alessandro has worked with countless celebrities and international talents (such as HRH Queen Rania of Jordan, Renee Zellweger. Ricky Martin, Elle Mc Pherson, to name a few) while continuing to work on set for fashion Magazines and Adv campaigns.
He would often find himself working on set during the day and then giving haircuts in the evening, to Clients or talents or fashion-editors.
After a few years, he opened his own hair-salon in Milan (Area Numero Sei, Milan), which has recently been reviewed by Harper's Bazaar America among the top ten hair-salons in the world.
Despite his many achievements and endorsements, Alessandro has no attitude at all. His innate kindness, his discretion and sheer focus on work are just as special an experience as much as his truly great technical skills.
